In the name of God Amen. The Twenty six Day of August in the year of
Our Lord one Thousand Seaven hundred Twenty Six I James Partridge
the Elder of Sparsholt in the County of Berks. Carpenter being of a sound
perfect and Disposing memory thanks be given to Almighty God for the same
Do hereby make ordaine and Declare this my Last Will and Testament
in the followinge Manner and Fforme I? Give my soule unto the Hands of
Almighty God who gave it me hopeinge to be saved in and through the above
? of Jesus Christ my saviour and Redeemer and my Body I committ
to the Earth to be buried in such Decent manner as my executrix herein
after named shall think fitt And as to such Worldly estate as the Lord in Mercy
haffing? Lent me I Give Devise and Dispose the same as followeth Item
I Give Devise and bequeath to Mary my ever loving wife my house and homestead
and Garden together with the Right of takinge and removing the Leafe ? of
and of all and every parcell or parcells of ground thereunto belonginge which
